Cineclub

Cineclub veterans interview potential members

Cineclub is for budding film makers, it’s an opportunity for them to learn and develop key Media Skills in their lower school years and produce a short film to meet a set brief for the Cineclub (organisation). Last year some Gifted and Talented Media students were selected and made their own film. They have a criteria to meet to ensure they get their “C” certificate from Cineclub.

Cineclub Update

Interviews took place on Friday 16th January in Media Room 3 to find new members to begin the silent film project for the next two terms. Year 9 and 8 students who have been Cineclub members since it began in September 2007 interviewed and auditioned the year 7s. The interviews were filmed for the year 8 and 9 silent film documentary that will be completed over the next two terms. The role of the older members in Cineclub is to teach the new members how to make and edit film through a new film project each term. This will carry on over the coming terms with more selected year 7 students.
