On the 20th January a Lecturer from Ravensbourne College visited our school to help us and give us advice on the interviewing stages when applying for an Art University. He spoke to us about how to present your portfolio, for example, Mount on A1 boards and try and present your work on the boards symmetrically etc.
He also spoke to us about actual interview questions that interviewers would ask us, for example, “What artists/designers do you like?” and “Have you looked at any other courses?”.
I had a one on one tutorial with the lecturer and showed him my digital portfolio, even though it is a power point presentation the presentation rules still apply.
This Presentation has helped me present my work in a sophisticated way and the interview questions have helped me prepare myself for an interviewer.

Christmas Backdrop
Christmas Backdrop produced by Art and Design students for St Mary’s Church
Art and Design students on the BTEC National course have helped to design and create a professional-looking backdrop which was displayed in St Mary’s Church, Bromley over the festive season. The students were asked to create a design which would be used as Mary’s kitchen in The Christmas Journey (an educational event organised by the church to tell Primary School children the story of Christmas.) The hard work and careful design created a great effect in the event.
